Operational Territorial Health Information System

SISTO (Operational Territorial Health Information System) is the solution that allows you to manage all phases of a rescue intervention. The application, promoting real-time communication between all the operators involved in first aid (doctors, paramedics, 118 operations center and hospital facilities), facilitates the management of patient data thanks to the use of totally dematerialized intervention forms.

Already in use on the emergency vehicles of the Health Emergency Service (SUES 118) of the Sicily Region, SISTO currently involves over 3000 healthcare workers and records around 1000 interventions per day. The system was created to revolutionize the way in which medical services are provided, through an innovative integrated technological platform that improves accessibility to patient data, facilitates communication between professionals and optimizes the clinical decision-making process.

The SISTO system

WEB portal

SISTO provides healthcare system users with a web portal, which allows them to manage the rescue phases. Operators can thus check the availability of vehicles, ongoing interventions, reports and many other data useful for providing the best care service.

Mobile Application

Thanks to the mobile application, the staff present inside the emergency vehicles can easily manage all the phases of the rescue on a tablet, from the request for on-site intervention to the arrival at the hospital and communicate easily with the operations center and the hospital.

SignersManager application

The application allows you to insert different user profiles into the system. Depending on the type of profile, specific permissions will be activated which during the rescue phases will allow users to access the documentation and sections of their competence.

Dematerialization of the patient card

In addition to completely eliminating the use of paper documentation, the digitized patient records are configured as native electronic documents with legal value and accompanied by the graphometric signature of the operators involved.

Geolocation of the emergency vehicle

The geolocation of the emergency vehicle allows you to access multiple contextual information in real time, such as the road conditions in order to identify the best route and the exact estimate of the arrival time at the hospital.

Automatic reading of the health card

The automatic reading system of the health card allows you to quickly register the person who requested the intervention of the emergency vehicle, limiting any writing errors and thus reducing data recording times.

Integration with electro-medical devices

SISTO allows you to associate the health data collected with the electro-medical devices present in the emergency vehicles to the patient card. This functionality allows doctors immediate access to the patient’s complete clinical picture.

Immediate availability of information

The information collected during the intervention is made available on the SISTO Web Portal which can be consulted by all the medical staff involved, who will then be able to access the rescue data and promptly arrange the necessary care.

Integration with existing systems and customizations

SISTO is based on the implementation of highly innovative technologies, which allow integrations with existing systems and customizations depending on the present and future needs encountered by healthcare companies.

SISTO reduces communication times with the Operations Center by approximately 50%* and optimizes the use of emergency vehicles, allowing us to reduce patient assistance times and make the vehicles available again in the shortest possible time, ready to respond to a new emergency.
